Tattersalls will once again sponsor the Show Series for Retired Racehorses organised by the IHWT Thoroughbred Club.

Show dates have been announced for this year’s series and a Working Hunter Class has also been added for 2018.

The Show Series, now in its 3rd year along with the Working Hunter Class will host qualifiers at the following shows.

Mullingar Equestrian Centre – 2nd June
Flavours of Fingal County Show – 23rd /24th June
Charleville Agricultural Show Society – 24th June
Adamstown, Co.Wexford – DATE TBC
Wexford Equestrian – 8th July
Newcastle West Show – 15th July
Castlewellan & District Agricultural Show -14th July SHOW CLASS ONLY
Bannon Rathangan Show – 12th July

1st and 2nd placings from each qualifier will be eligible for the final competition which takes place at the Tattersalls July Show on 21st & 22nd July 2018, where there will be an extra qualifier on the day giving riders a final chance to compete.  There is a total prize fund of €1000 for the Show Class and there will also be the opportunity for the winner of the show class final to travel with their horse and a groom to compete in the RoR National Championships in Aintree at the end of August.

The Working Hunter Final will have a total prize fund of €500 and both classes will be awarding gift vouchers from TRI Equestrian and beautiful rosettes down to 4th place.

Points can be gained from both the Show Class and Working Hunter Series for an Awards ceremony planned for the end of the year, full details of which will be announced in due course.
